Hamdard Institute of Information Technology

Hamdard Institute of Information Technology (HIIT) has earlier offered programs in Computer Science, Information Technology and Computer System Engineering, and our graduates have earned a high ranking while competing for jobs in public as well as private sector organizations. The institute is presently offering BE program in Electronics and Telecommunications and students intake is growing. Accreditation of Engineering programs by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for Islamabad Campus is in progress, while all Engineering programs at Karachi Campus are already accredited by PEC. Presently,

we are offering the following programs at Islamabad Campus:

-B.E. (Electronic Engineering) - B.E. (Telecommunication Engineering) - BS (Telecommunications & Networking)

B.E. (Electronic Engineering)

The Electronic Engineering program prepares students for employment in the field of electronics by emphasizing analysis, applied designs, hands-on experience and communication skills. Graduates can apply their knowledge of electronics in a variety of industries, like aerospace, computers, communications, biomedical electronics, power etc. Students are offered a wide range of training in the areas such as the basics of electronics, electronic instrumentation, testing, controls, biomedical electronics, microprocessors, VLSIand communications systems. B.E. (Telecommunication Engineering)

The rapid growth in the field of telecommunications during the last two decades has revolutionized the world in a big way and today, the strength of telecommunication industry in a country is taken as a symbol of its digital sovereignty and military prowess. As a result, new technologies are emerging one after the other, and trends are fast changing. We have seen the classic telephony being taken over by wireless communications, merged with Internet technology. This ever-increasing sophistication in technology has posed a formidable challenge to the young engineers. The recent move towards privatization of telecommunication industry in Pakistan has also increased the requirement of well trained and skilled telecom engineers manifold due to pure market competition. HIIT Islamabad Campus is contributing towards this national demand by producing a good number of quality engineers every year. Because of their high professionalism, these engineers are absorbed by the industry as soon as they pass out from the University. Back To Top

BS (Telecommunications & Networking)

The expansion of communication network infrastructure and cellular system has warranted the design of this highly specialized and focused program for the students. This program has been clinically designed to train the prospective engineers in the direction of IP-based networks specializing in the configuration of routing, switching and security devices. The demand of industry has been given due consideration while designing this course. Emphasis is also laid on integrating analytical thinking necessary for optimal design, and providing sound foundation for synthesis of applied problems. This program provides broader foundation for further education.
